I finally told my parents

so as some of you already may know, i have stopped going to meetings for good and have nothing to do with wbts anymore...did not write a letter of disassociation because i dont believe an organization should spiritually execute me for rejecting men's tradition and false doctrine...some of you may recall i spoke to my wife and are in good terms, even though she's still an active jw.

my parents are both active jw's...when i visited them yesterday, they clearly did not expect me to tell them i had left the "org"...to my huge surprise, after i explained to them i had found ttatt (truth about the truth) and gave compelling evidence of my reasoning, and using the scriptures, they totally sided with me...i was dumbfounded...one of my parents even brought up ray franz and his book coc....i was like wtf??.

they told me all of these years they never had the guts to say anything about the hypocrisy in this org and they were glad that i as their son was able to step up and believe what is right and what is on the bible...they re-assured their love to me and they were happy i had found happiness in jesus christ and the need to have a personal relationship with him and not through a man made organization.... i totally did not expect this response from my parents...but it just leaves me to think that there are thousands of active jw's out there feeling the same way and don't have the courage to step up to the org...still don't know what they are going to do, but i got the feeling they will do the same eventually and move on from the wbts.... have a great week everyone.

I so wish that this was not the exception, because in my own experience over the past couple of years, I have discovered that out of the few people whom I've spoken to about real Bible truths, all of them figuratively "put their fingers in their ears and started humming!" A close relative even slammed the 'phone down on me.

They shudder at the thought that they could possibly be receiving false teachings, and yet many Scriptures warn them of the certainty of that!!

Even my closest friend (former elder) has made it clear by his silence, that he is disturbed by some of the truths I try to share with him. The "New Scrolls" fable is a prime example. I showed him the Scriptures in Rev. 20, and then he just clammed up - no discussion!!

Specifically, which "rights" were 'limited' or denied to foreigners who joined themselves to God's people?

Land inheritance, the priesthood, or even the kingship, heaven forbid????????

Nowhere is there a single Scripture to justify exclusion from any of the aforementioned. On the contrary, the greatest King-Priest is Christ Jesus himself, and guess who a couple of Jesus' ancestors were? Rahab and Ruth - pagan worshippers who put faith in the God of Israel and were not only absorbed into the tribe of Judah with all the benefits of full Israelites, but were given the greatest privilege of being counted truly worthy in every respect to produce the Messiah!!

Rumor of new light on the headquarters of the WT

i read in a forum in spanish that there is a strong rumor spreading in the corridors of the wt.

has anyone heard anything about this??

the change that is emerging is this: the great crowd has not yet appeared, and it is a group that comes out of the great tribulation.

I said to a former elder months ago, that it must be wrong to refer to anyone as being part of the Great Crowd, because the tribulation is future; therefore the Great Crowd has not individually proven themselves faithful yet.

Similarly, none of Christ's slaves alive - heavenly or earthly hopers - have proven themselves faithful stewards yet!

mine was romans 6:7 where they say it's our death that's aquitted us of our sins when it was jesus death that aquitted us of our sins.

Also Galatians 2:1-10, to show that Holy Spirit directed Paul to resolve the circumcision issue, not a fictitious GB!!

These verses clearly show that Paul had to convince the 'prominent ones' in Jerusalem (including the apostles) that Jehovah's spirit was using him to settle the matter. Eventually the apostles agreed with Paul!!

What name should we call ourselselves, and for whom should we be witnessing? (Isaiah 43:10 applied to fleshly Israel until the Messiah came and instigated the New Covenant which was open to Jews & Gentiles)

I really, really, really love the (demon inspired) teaching of............. (trumpet fanfare!!) the "New Scrolls"!!!!

By reading Revelation 20:1-12 it is readily seen that there are no "new" scrolls, nor are they used to give us 'wonderful new teachings', and it is blatantly obvious that the "scrolls" are not opened during Christ's 1000 year reign - they are opened after Satan is destroyed, not abyssed!! Fairy stories!!!

Logical Illustration (for those who will listen!)

in my quest to try to reason with a few people close to me i thought of the perfect illustration as to why we should examine our beliefs against whats printed in the wt or on the jw website.. granted, because of the blinders they were on able to accept any part of what i was saying but to any "non-believer" that i have used this with has understood perfectly.

so it may be worth a shot to try it out.. .

Who really is Babylon the Great?

Two Scriptures which have always niggled me for one reason or another -

Who really is Babylon the Great?

Firstly, if she is the "mother (singular) of the harlots", that indicates that she is an entity on her own - because there are other harlots of lesser significance below her. Also, 'she' is accused of being predominantly responsible for the slaughter of 'holy ones' and "the witnesses of Jesus" - Christians! (Acts 1:8)

Secondly, God is warning, "Get out of her mypeople". Anyone who wants to be one of God's people has to be a Christian - "no man comes to the Father except through me."

Tie the two together - Does the world empire of Christendom (JWs included!!!) not fit the bill perfectly?

Likewise, all of Christ's followers become his brothers & sisters as well as sons of God!! We (the earthly-hopers) don't have to wait for 1000 years for Jehovah to recognise us as His son or daughter! (despite what self-glorified ones would have us believe!!)

Jesus said that the meek would inherit the earth, therefore, we all become joint heirs with Christ when he inherits his reward from our heavenly Father. At Psalm 37:9, 11, & 29, the same word 'possess' is used. In fact, according to Strong's Concordance, the Hebrew word yarash can mean "be an heir, to inherit".

Jesus addressed Jehovah as his Father. How were all his disciples to address Jehovah? (Matt. 6:9)

Jesus promised that he would have one flock of sheep, not two different "classes". (John 10:16)

Different hopes , but not separate classes!

It is God's will "that all sorts of men should.......come to an accurate knowledge of truth". (1 Tim. 2:4)
The wording in the Scriptures above clearly identify to whom they apply - all Christians in the one floc k.

All Christ's followers become his slaves, and when he returns, he will decide who was faithful and who was not!

Jesus asked at Matthew 24:45, who would be a faithful slave.

Who qualifies as a slave in God's eyes?

The following Scriptures speak primarily about slave/s of God and Christ.

(Bear in mind that "by extension" occurs nowhere in the Bible, or is even hinted at)

(Matthew 6:24) YOU cannot slave for God and for Riches.
